Thanks Graham, yes the 'J' performed really well.

No the loco does not have a working dynamo, the headlight is powered by a pair of 1.5 volt batteries in the tender with a switch, the headlight is modified with a small aluminium reflector from a small torch it is lit with a small 'grain of wheat' sized 3 volt light globe, wiring is run from the tender to the headlight under the running board.

Yes TAC it’s a friend of mine’s track, can run 4 gauge one trains at the same time plus a gauge 3 train all at the same time.

Yes Graham, this loco is great, plenty of power and runs like a Swiss watch.The 19 freight wagons were no real load for it, regulator was barely open!

Keep her running, my version has a second tender now, just like the real one. I have rebuilt a big american tender that was kicking around in my storage, one from a big boy. I hope to publish footage later this week.

@@MrBramMoos That's a nice touch, a second auxiliary tender, I would have to scratch build one. First I need to obtain a consist of N & W passenger coaches in the future, Accucraft had them but are sold out. A friend of mine has a set of 12 Pennsy coaches for his T1, as a substitute I will probably borrow his from time to time.

Yes, Russell it's a bit like a giant American version of a C38, picked it up at the Great Southern Steamup last week, pity I couldn't run it then but it was very extensively packed in it's large shipping box and would have taken too long to unpack it all.

Yes Russel, it was a great day steaming, the S2 performed very well. It was the second outing of the Guage 3 Duchess and it performed and sounded great. I reckon you could probably ride behind it on elevated track! See you at GSSU. - Joe

Yes Graham, the S2 is such a reliable engine, my go to loco when I want hassle free running. The Gauge 3 Duchess is on another level, Bowande have done a great job, the level of detail and castings quality is superb. PS. See you at GSSU

Yes Russel, I had not run the Mason Bogie for years, ran fine after sitting in it's box all that time. The Glasskasten is a finicky little beast, small water tube boiler and small meths tank does not result in a long run in it's standard form but with the Aster accessory water pump and fuel car I can get a decent run.

Thanks Graham, the 5MT was a lot of work especially modifying the tender to a proper BR1B version but worth it in the end.

Thanks Russell, Videoing and driving is a real challenge, adjusting the Castle regulator with one hand and holding the I-phone in the other to video requires multi tasking! Yes the C18 is nice.

Yes this track is amazing, it has full super elevation on all curves, ideal for large fast locos and big consists.

Thanks Russel, Filming and driving a loco is somewhat multi tasking, a thing most blokes aren't good at, I get plenty of exercise running after the loco !!
